Fried chicken

South Indian Style Fried Chicken


1 chicken – cut into bite sized pieces
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
5 Tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp fennel seeds
5 whole dried red chillies
2 chopped onions

1 tsp salt

Rub the salt and turmeric over the chicken. Keep it aside for half an hour. Heat oil a pan and  put in mustard seeds, and urad dal.  After a few minutes add fennel seeds and red chillies. Now add onions and fry until golden. Now time to add  marinated chicken and cook over a fast flame for 10-15 minutes. Sprinkle little water on it to avoid sticking. Remove from oil and serve hot with salad.
